PLAX has low driving torque when forming internal thread. It has low contact resistance at the intermittent part consisting of high ridge and low ridge.
Outer diameter of higher ridge in intermittent part is slightly larger than that of normal thread part. It avoids internal thread breakage because lower ridge reduces contact surface area and deterioration of synthetic resin cannot be seen.
Since synthetic resin has restorability, high-ridge made internal thread will get into low-ridge made internal thread due to the restoring action and will not get loose.
PLAX can be used repeatedly because it forms internal thread by plastic deformation.
Screw head shape dimensions is standardly based on JIS* B1122 (tapping screw with cross hole）. Other screw head shape dimensions are also available.
